This is my last ditch effort to lose more weight. If I do not, then I will be facing having hip replacement surgery. That is something that I really don't want to do.
I love gardening and being active and I am so worried that if I have my hip replaced I will no longer be able to do those things. That means I have renewed my efforts to lose more weight. This time I am following the real Mayo Clinic diet and logging my progress on My Fitness Pal.
I like the Mayo Clinic approach in that they have a great deal of focus on habit changes. I know that I have many bad eating habits that need to change. I read that that studies now say that if you are obese and you lose weight, you will always have to eat less than those that never had to lose weight. You will also have to stick to an exercise routine to keep it off. The battle goes on forever. It's now or never this time.
Here goes.
Day One: I am following the DASH Diet plan for the next two weeks as it worked for me once before.
